Ameen is a Palestinian-Syrian multidisciplinary visual artist, documentary photographer, and cinematographer, currently residing in Damascus. He is an active member of Arab Documentary Photography Program (ADPP), Magnum Foundation, Prince Claus Fund, and Al-AYOU virtual space for visual storytellers in Syria and in the diaspora.

In 2023, he earned his Bachelor in visual arts from the Higher Institute for Dramatic Arts in Damascus. Ameen began exploring photography in 2016 as a means of self-expression and communication. His work delves into personal environments, examining toxic lifestyles and survival strategies.

Recently, he was awarded a mentorship by “AFAC” for his inaugural project “How Was Everything, Before All This Ruin?”, which was featured in the “AN EXPRESSION OF ABSENCE” exhibition at Magnum Foundation and The Broadway Dance Center (BDC) in New York City.
