Dalia Khamissy, a Lebanese photographer based in Beirut, has dedicated her career to exploring social and political narratives across the Middle East. After earning her diploma in photography from the Université Saint-Esprit de Kaslik in 1999, Dalia embarked on a journey that has deeply engaged with the region’s tumultuous history.

Her career took a pivotal turn in 2005 when she joined the Associated Press in Beirut as a photo editor. The experience of the Israeli offensive on Lebanon and its aftermath led her to leave the position by the end of 2006, fueling her commitment to documenting the enduring consequences of Lebanon’s wars. Since then, Dalia has focused on capturing the lives and struggles of those affected by ongoing conflicts and social issues in the region.

Currently, Dalia is focused on the aftermath of the August 4th Beirut blast, documenting the impact on the lives of those affected by the explosion. Her powerful images have been exhibited extensively across Europe, South America, the United States, and the MENA region, and she has been featured in both local and international publications.
