Elias Nafaa graduated as an architect from the Académie Libanaise des Beaux Arts (ALBA) in 2019. With a creative approach draws from his architectural background, the artist explores the concept of space as a vehicle of narratives, illuminating political themes through personal perspectives. His artistic output is profoundly personal, and rich in spatial intricacies.

Today, Nafaa works as a program assistant at the Canadian Center for Architecture in Montréal, and as a Junior editor at Dongola Limited Editions where he manages, contributes, and produce the Dongola Architecture Series (DAS), highlighting the thoughts, processes, and social impacts of leading Arab architects from the SWANA region.

Residing between Beirut and Mooniyang, Montréal, Elias has completed artist residencies in Arbroath, Edinburgh and Paris. His artistic pieces have been incorporated into the permanent collection of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Arab World Institute in Paris, a donation facilitated by Claude and France Lemand to the IMA Museum.
