Born in 1966 in Casablanca, Fatiha Zemmouri enrolled at the Casablanca School of Fine Arts in 1987. In 2002, she completed a primitive pottery internship under Marcel Muller.

Zemmouri's multifaceted work explores themes of construction, deconstruction, regeneration, and transformation. Her art intricately incorporates natural elements such as water, fire, and earth, alongside materials like wood, charcoal, and clay.

Fatiha's abstract approach simplifies natural forms, with the delicate and fragile nature of her materials lending a poetic touch to her pieces. Through her art, she aims to reconnect with the lost essence of her native land, juxtaposing the rich, nourishing rural past with the often-dismissive modern urban landscape.

The artist currently divides her time between Casablanca and Marrakech. Her first solo exhibition took place in 1999 in Rabat, and she participated in multiple group exhibitions around the world including Europe and the United Arab Emirates.
