Iman Al-Dabbagh, a self-taught documentary photographer from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, has dedicated her career to capturing the authentic lives of people within her community. Her work delves into themes of displacement, national and ethnic identity, gender, and women’s experiences. Iman’s photography is characterized by its genuine portrayal of her subjects, reflecting a deep connection and understanding of their realities, allowing her to tell their stories with remarkable depth.

One of her significant projects, "wheres layla", initiated in 2012, explores early motherhood through a series of poignant and humorous moments with her child. In 2016, Iman was awarded a grant from the Arab Documentary Photography Program, sponsored by the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture, Magnum Foundation, and Prince Claus Fund, for her project on daring Saudi Arabian artists.

Al-Dabbagh currently balances her freelance projects between Jeddah and Sarajevo, contributing regularly to The Everyday Projects, offering powerful, unfiltered glimpses into the lives she so thoughtfully documents.
