Born in Palestine and raised in the American suburbs of Michigan, Hammad divides his time between Ramallah, Palestine and Washington, D.C. For several years, Maen has been deeply involved in documenting the Palestinian skateboard scene, forging strong connections with the community and capturing its unique energy.

The artist holds a master’s degree in international affairs from George Washington University, a background that enhances his work in both visual storytelling and human rights advocacy. His work has been exhibited internationally, including in New York, Paris, Dubai, and Florence, and is part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

Beyond his artistic endeavors, Maen Hammad finds inspiration in the everyday, using his talents as a photographer and filmmaker to explore and document the world around him, reflecting the human rights dynamics while blending his creative and academic expertise to shed light on important global issues.
