The multidisciplinary Palestinian artist Manal Mahamid was born in the Palestinian village of Moawia. She completed her Master's in Fine Arts at the University of Haifa in 2006, and earned a degree in Museology and Curation from the University of Tel Aviv, occupied Palestine, in 2010.

Manal has been researching Palestinian identity as part of her artistic development. Her practice spans various mediums including prints, videos, ceramics, glass, and wood; representing the relationship between Palestinians and their natural surroundings, while exploring human memory and the influence of political and various ideological factors on landscape navigation and ecology.
