Nabil Ghandour is a Lebanese oil painter born in 1952. He graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design, New York. Ghandour also attended several workshops and short courses at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York University, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Royal College of Art, and the Slade School of Fine Art in the University College London.
He is celebrated for his ethereal landscapes that evoke natural beauty. His work, primarily focused on expansive seascapes and sunsets, captures the changing hues of the sky and sea in sweeping, vibrant strokes. Driven by a deep respect for nature, Ghandour blends his own paints to bring an alchemical touch to his canvas. After transitioning to full-time painting, his studio and process have overcome setbacks, including damage from the Beirut Port explosion.
