Haifa-based artist Samah Shehadeh was born in Sha’ab Town Palestine in 1987. In 2012, she graduated with a bachelor degree in Art from Oranim Academic College and Teaching , followed by an MFA in 2015 from Haifa University. Shehadeh’s drawings fall under the figurative-realistic with a hyper-realistic attention to details. The draftsmanship artist explores feminism along with personal and social Nakba-related challenges that Palestinian women face on a daily basis. She expresses the anguish of everyday life patterns in Palestine, using charcoal and pencil, leaving the observant in a state of imagination and wonder. 

Samah’s first collective exhibition ‘Crossroads’ was held in Ramallah in 2016. The multiple award winner is considered to be one of the most outstanding Palestinian contemporary artists. She was recently awarded the Young Artist Award from the ministry of Culture and Sport, and participated in over 15 exhibitions.
