Safae El Kadi, born in 1999, El Jadida, is a Moroccan multidisciplinary artist whose work explores material transformation and process. She often employs industrial and synthetic materials such as stainless-steel mesh, self-hardening paste, and plastic to create sculptural reliefs that blur the boundaries between painting and object. El Kadi graduated from the Institut National des Beaux-Arts (INBA), Tétouan, in 2021 and completed a master’s degree in documentary film in 2023. She lives and works in Tétouan.
Her practice has been presented in Morocco and abroad, with recent solo exhibitions at Comptoir des Mines Galerie, Marrakech: Invasion (2024) and Anamorphose (2025), both staged within the MAJAZ programme for emerging artists. In the Dalloul Art Foundation collection, her 2024 work Le Sacre embodies her process-driven approach, transforming fragile surfaces into tactile, layered compositions that reflect the tension between action and trace. She currently lives and works in Tétouan, Morocco.
