This work is based on a very painful experience of long days and nights, sitting in front of the television or surfing the net for hours and waiting for the most recent news of the American invasion of Iraq throughout March and April 2003, my heart was racing and there was an awkward sort of anxiety which was digging deep and telling me that the falling of my beloved Baghdad was not but the begin of a new journey of death in Iraq.

The video was a part of a multimedia installation consisting of video, painting & print. at SM’s - Stedelijk Museum ‘s-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch), Netherlands 11.10.2007 - 13.01.2008 curated by: Elly Stegeman, Jos Poodt.. And at Station Museum, Houston, TX, USA 01.11.2008 - 01.02.2009: curated by: James Harithas, Alan Schnitger.

... and the artist statement:
“ This work is not a description of a war or a daily death lived in Iraq,
It is a birth certificate of a plague that filled the air in the name of “Freedom”,
a freedom that has been dreamed of by the Iraqis for generations"
