Amine El Bacha was born in Beirut in 1932 to a family passionate about painting and music. At the age of 15, he was already painting, having discarded the idea of becoming a musician. His work reflects a profound artistic experience that arises from his travels and wanderings through different cities, his time spent in cafés, watching the world go by. He has published several books, such as "Dakat Al Sa’a", "The Night's Sun" and "Zahraa Al Andalus", along with the two plays "Al Muntaher" and "Alice." “Waraa Al Wojooh” is an immensely successful show that featured intimate worldwide interviews. It was both produced and hosted by Ricardo Karam. Adopting the face-to-face formula was a calculated smart move that allowed him to probe his subjects in greater depth. He passed away on February 5 of the year 2019 at the age of 87.
