Ali Talib an Iraqi Artist, Born in Basrah, Iraq in 1944, Ali Talib was among the first graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts, Baghdad, he was also one of the founding members of the Mujaddidon (The innovationists) the artistic movement that defied the prevailing realities in search for the new solutions and horizons that could satisfy their aspirations and hopes. He continued his education in Cairo in Graphic design and returned to the Academy as a lecturer.In 1991 he left for Amman to work as a professor of Fine Arts at Yarmouk University of Jordan. Ali Talib had participated in collective shows as well as held solo exhibitions worldwide. He lives and works in the Netherlands. Dar Al Funoon exhibits his works from April 14th to the 30th of April, 2010.
