Works from the mumok Collection
Friday, February 22, 2013 to Sunday, February 23, 2014
The presentation of our collection drew on the Ludwig and Hahn Collections, focusing on the art movements of the 1960s and 1970s that addressed social (and other) realities. We also looked at trends in installation art, and approaches to the new media of photography, film, and video from the 1990s to the present.
The selected works included many of the big names in art history, such as Francis Bacon, Joseph Beuys, and Andy Warhol. Key positions in present-day art were represented by artists like Omer Fast, Andrea Fraser, Andreas Gursky, Liesl Ponger, and Florian Pumhösl.
