Voices from Lebanon: Social & Cultural Reflections
September 21 - November 9 2019

Curated by Saad Ghosn of SOS ART, Voices from Lebanon: Social and Cultural Reflections features prints by 19 contemporary printmakers from Lebanon and Arab artists living in Lebanon. These artists use artwork as their voice and communication tool to reflect on the cultural, social, and political issues they face.

In addition to its own social and political problems, Lebanon is a country which reflects the social and political upheavals of the entire Middle East, including crises in the neighboring countries. One third of the population of Lebanon currently consists of non-Lebanese Arab emigrants/refugees who have fled their country because of war and other violence, and among them are many Arab artists.

A printed book of all the works from the exhibition will be given free to visitors (while supplies last).

Join us for an Opening Reception on Saturday, September 21 from 6 to 8 pm.

A one day, free Lebanese & Arab Festival will be held at KHAC on Saturday, October 5th from 11am – 6pm, to share Lebanese/Arab culture with the Cincinnati community.
