Following on the success of Art D’Égypte’s “Night at the Egyptian Museum” in Tahrir square, October 2017, they were invited to exhibit a selection of the Eternal Light collection in London at the Egyptian Cultural Bureau.
The purpose of the ground-breaking exhibition ‘Eternal Light: Something Old, Something New’ is to highlight the extraordinary attempts of interpreting ancient Egyptian cultura into modern and contemporary artworks. It features a selection of artists who bring to life the flow of light and energy of Egypt’s history, connecting its past to its present. The main focus of the exhibition is also to shed light on the influences and inspiration for these artists’ works by pharaonic art and heritage.
The contemporary Egyptian art collection was exhibited on the 1st of March,2018, for the second time, in a historical setting that was revived by the vibrant pieces. The VIP opening of the exhibition at the Egyptian Cultural Bureau in London was attended by 150 guests. The invitees were enchanted by the exhibited art pieces and attended lectures by renowned speakers such as Dr. Gemma Tully Research Associate in Archaeology and Egyptology Cambridge University and Durham University, Valerie Hess the co -author of Mahmoud Said catalogue raisonee, His Excellency the Egyptian Ambassador Nasser Kamel and Nadine Abdel Ghaffar founder of Art D’Égypte. Once again the company has achieved its goals of creating awareness of Egypt’s rich art scene by allowing it the exposure it deserves, reviving and preserving Egyptian heritage, encouraging tourism from international VIP’s, and shedding a positive light on Egypt.
